Extremely happy to report that Gramps was discharged from Swedish Hospital earlier today and is at home resting. He's traded in his hospital gowns and hospital beds for his own sweats and a brand new, elevated bed. 

There's a lot to learn and adjust to being at home; including administering medication and figuring out the schedule of his tube feeding. Grandma is a little overwhelmed with all of the new home care requirements, but she has a good support system in her family, and we will all adjust and make sure that he's properly taken care of. There will also be some home care nursing to be scheduled in the coming days, along with a physical and occupational therapist to help him get back up to strength.

While there is still quite a long road ahead, today is great day for everyone in the family. Being home has and will continue to boost his spirits, along with the spirits of his entire family. Today is truly a good day and a happy Father's Day!
